Through our Localized Archival Collection, the Center for RECAAL will be a depository for intellectual, artistic, and cultural contributions from African American members of Wake Forest University and the Winston-Salem community, and the Triad. Materials we seek to preserve may include writings, sermons, visual arts productions, or other materials produced by or about members in the Triad community who have made important contributions to enhance the lives of others.

These collections will be available for research and teaching purposes on matters germane to the local community.

The Center’s localized archive will consist of both local materials as well as place-based research projects completed by Wake Forest University faculty. Materials will be held at the Z. Smith Reynolds Library at Wake Forest University.
